In-N-Out Burger’s owner president Lynsi Synder promises a “giant shindig” in Pomona for the chain’s 75th anniversary celebration in 2023.
In-N-Out is promoting the event nearly a year in advance with a two-minute video featuring Snyder and a “save the date” link on the home page of its website.
The festival will be Oct. 22 at the Fairplex in Pomona.
In the video, Synder also announces that the burger chain will become the title sponsor of the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip, beginning in 2023.
The dragstrip is at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, which is at the Fairplex.
In-N-Out promises drag racing, a car show, celebrity musicians as well as its own food trucks at its anniversary festival.
It invites fans to sign up for e-mail updates and to watch its Instagram page for information.
In-N-Out partnered with Hot Rod media for a similar celebration at the raceway in 2018, marking the joint 70th anniversary of the chain and Hot Rod magazine.
The first In-N-Out drive-thru was opened by Synder’s grandparents, Harry and Esther Synder, in Baldwin Park on Oct. 22, 1948. It now has 381 restaurants in seven states with the opening of a drive-thru in Valencia last month.
In-N-Out’s headquarters are in Irvine but it maintains a large presence in Baldwin Park including a company store and a replica of the first drive-thru.
