The franchise concept Aspire Salon Studios opened on Saturday, Jan. 7 at Triangle Square in Costa Mesa.
The location has 50 individual studios with hair stylists, nail technicians, massage therapists, facialists and estheticians.
“Aspire and all of the businesses at our Triangle Square salon are happy to celebrate our grand opening and we look forward to a busy and successful New Year,” said owner Shaan Mehta. “We’re excited to meet the community, and what better time for self-care and to enjoy relaxing beauty treatments than as we welcome a New Year.”
The shopping center is at the juncture where the 55 freeway ends and Newport and Harbor boulevards intersect with 19th Street.

Spectrum store opens in Surf City
A Spectrum Store has opened in Huntington Beach, offering services for the communication company’s internet, mobile and cable customers.
The store at 20002 Brookhurst St., Suite 103, is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on and Sundays.
Mattress store coming to San Clemente
Sleep Train Inc., also known as the Mattress Firm, has leased a space at Plaza Pacifica at 979 Avenida Pico in San Clemente.
The company signed a 10-year lease for a 4,500-square-foot space valued at $2 million.
Connor Stevens and Mike Moser of Retail Insite represented the property owner. The tenant was represented by WesternRetail Advisors.

America’s Tire adds a location in San Clemente
America’s Tire has expanded in Orange County, opening a store at 911 Avenida Pico in San Clemente.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The tire shop is closed on Sunday.
Including the San Clemente site, America’s Tire operates 112 stores in California, with plans for further expansion over the next couple of years.
The Scottsdale-based company was founded in 1960 by Bruce Halle and has 1,100 stores in 37 states.

The auction bidding opens online Feb. 18 and will include works from over 125 California artists. Items will be available to preview Feb. 18 through March 4 in person at Laguna Art Museum with paid admission.
The auction will culminate with a Benefit & Bash at the museum at 6:30 p.m. March 4.

Amado Lara is the new president of Roland DGA Corp., a provider of wide-format inkjet printers, cutters and milling machines in Irvine. Andrew Oransky, formerly Roland DGA’s president and CEO, will continue to serve as CEO. Lara, a sign and graphics industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, has held executive positions at Roland DGA since joining the company in 1992, serving most recently as vice president of sales.
Alfredo Arroyo has been named chief operations officer and senior vice president of Anaheim-based Waev Inc., an electric vehicle maker. He will lead Waev’s supply chain and manufacturing operations. This step marks the first c-suite executive hire for Waev since the company’s founding in 2021. Previously, Arroyo spent 10 years at Google. Waev took ownership and operational aspects of the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger businesses. All EVs are engineered and produced at the Waev headquarters and manufacturing center in Anaheim.

PLC is a pro-bono law firm that provides legal services for low-income residents in Orange County. Whyte is a litigator with 32 years of experience and has been a part of PLC’s leadership group for a decade.
Good works
Orange County’s Credit Union completed a Toy Drive for local hospital CHOC this past holiday season. Donations were used at CHOC’s Toy Store where families with in-patient children picked out a toy. More than 300 toys were collected over the month of December and gifted to 150 children. Leftover toys are being delivered to other CHOC clinics throughout Orange County.

Tarsadia Foundation of Newport Beach has awarded Illumination Foundation, a nonprofit in Orange, a $500,000 grant to provide housing and healthcare for those experiencing homelessness.
Irvine-based Sunstone Community Fund has made a commitment of $1 million over the next five years to support early-stage entrepreneurship and economic development. The fund will help Sunstone build its charitable giving to universities and organizations that provide training and support to underrepresented founders and advance economic development. Sunstone Community Fund has provided grants and scholarships totaling over $270,000 to universities and nonprofits that support early-stage entrepreneurship.
