R&B and pop icon Janet Jackson is set to embark on her Together Again Tour with rapper Ludacris in 2023. The outing includes stops at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine June 9 and the tour will serve as the 2023 season opener at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 10.

The Together Again tour kicks off in April and is in celebration of Jackson’s 50th anniversary in the entertainment industry and will highlight the 30th anniversary of her critically acclaimed “Janet” album and the 25th anniversary of “The Velvet Rope.”

Tickets for the Irvine show go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets for the Los Angeles show go on sale at 10 a.m. Dec. 16 at HollywoodBowl.com.

On Monday morning, Jackson also announced “there will be new music” on the way, but no specific date has be revealed. Jackson’s 2020 Black Diamond World Tour was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but she was the subject of a two-part documentary series, “Janet Jackson,” on A&E and Lifetime, which premiered in late January of this year.
