1. Orange Lutheran 18-3
The Lancers, who are No. 1 in the Prep Baseball Report California rankings, did not play last week. This week they play in the very challenging Boras Classic South.
2. Huntington Beach 15-7
The Oilers split two Surf League games with Fountain Valley last week. They open the Boras Classic South against state No. 3 Yucaipa on Tuesday.
3. Villa Park 20-2
The Spartans open the Boras Classic South against Servite on Tuesday. They won a nonleague game last week against Santa Fe as Gavin Grahovac homered and drove in the winning run, and they swept El Dorado in two Crestview League games.
4. Cypress 19-3-2
One week after winning the National Classic tournament, the Centurions won two close Empire League games against Crean Lutheran, 9-8 and 4-2. Luke Matlock pitched a complete game in the 4-2 win.
5. JSerra 12-9
The Lions beat state No. 7 Harvard-Westlake in their only game last week. They play San Dimas on Tuesday in the first round of the Boras Classic South.
6. Servite 12-8
Auggie Gutierrez had a huge week for the Friars with seven hits, four extra-base hits and five RBIs in a three-game sweep of Mater Dei in the Trinity League.
7. Foothill 19-8
The Knights, in second place in the Crestview League, split two league games with Canyon, and lost to Ayala in a nonleague game.
8. Santa Margarita 16-6
The Eagles, who did not play last week, have three Trinity League games this week against St. John Bosco.
9. Trabuco Hills 17-5
The Mustangs’ two-game sweep of Aliso Niguel included a four-RBI game from Joey Gray.
10. El Dorado 14-12
The Golden Hawks struggled to score last week, tallying only one run over two losses to Villa Park.
