Taco Bell will not be holding a fan event fan event at the Hollywood Palladium on Tuesday, Jan. 28, as it announced last month.
Citing the need to support wildfire recovery, the Irvine-based chain is postponing Live Más LIVE 2025, according to announcement posted on the event’s web page.
Taco Bell launched Live Más LIVE last year during Super Bowl weekend in Las Vegas. The chain’s leaders used the event to announce most of its menu plans for 2024 during a one-hour presentation.
Taco Bell said the decision is intended to prioritize the safety of Los Angeles residents and to “ensure the focus remains on the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts.”
The news release doesn’t provide any more information about Live Más LIVE but outlines efforts that Yum! Brands, Taco Bell’s parent company, and its other brands are making to support affected communities. They include a $250,000 donation to the Red Cross Disaster Responder Program.
Taco Bell sent food trucks to feed first responders, as did The Habit Burger & Grill. Both chains are based in Irvine and share an office building.
