For a few days this summer, Chargers and Rams fans can get closer to the action than most stadium tickets will allow.
Both NFL teams hold training camps in Orange County and fans can score tickets to watch for free, getting an early look at how their team’s players might perform this upcoming season.

The Chargers are once again setting up home base at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, and the first opportunity for fans to check out practice is Wednesday, July 26. Most of the practices open to fans are in the mornings and they plan to run on select dates through Aug. 18.
The Rams, who will hold their training camp at UC Irvine, will open some practices to fans starting Saturday, July 29, and select dates are available through Aug. 8. Their open practices are in the afternoons.
Attending either training camp requires a ticket, which is free, but some dates have already been snatched up. Both teams also are offering memorabilia, autograph opportunities and other fan experiences.
